The Amherst Garden Club is a non-profit organization that provides much benefit to the community not only in beautification but in education and scholarships to deserving college students. There are several residents here at the Fells who are members and we would like to make others in our complex aware of the organization and extend an invitation to attend one of our regular meetings at the Amherst Congregational Church.
General meetings are held monthly from September through June with featured speakers on many gardening and flower arranging topics. In December we feature a holiday décor workshop. The meetings are open to the public and anyone wishing to attend can say they are my guest.
Membership benefits include discounts at local garden shops, participation in specialty group meetings at various times during the month such as perennial and horticulture groups, discounts at various gardens and environmental centers throughout New England. The most important benefits to our members are a sense of fellowship and the learning experience.
